At a Stand Still

Here it is - August!  Where is the summer going!  I feel like I've standing still as the world passes by.  There are so many things I set out to do each summer and then all of a sudden the season is gone....  Always next year, right?

The princesses and I made it to Assateague Island on Monday. What a blast! Here are a few pix from a long walk we took.

Assateague is about  a 45 minute drive but well worth it.  It is home to a ton of wild ponies.  You see them everywhere.  Each year they round some up and auction them off to help control the population.  We just missed it last week.  Always next year, right?

The surf on the island is perfect for the princesses - not too rough but enough waves to make it fun.  We will be back!

On the exercise front - not much going on.  Keeping up with Bodyrock.tv.  Love it!  Perfect for times when I'm solo with the girls.  Quick, intense workouts.  I bought a sandbag to expand the exercises I can do - just need to get enough sand to fill it.  So far I only have 7 lbs!  Think I will try to get at least 40 lbs.

Off to clean the condo.  We have 3 moms and 6 kids coming tomorrow to the beach.  Can't wait!
