I seem to start and stop in abrupt fits here. Consistency doesn't seem to be the theme. This is what I would like to change. I miss writing and expressing myself as well as having a place to relate our daily/weekly adventures. So here I go once again....
We have been back at the beach for our 8th summer! So crazy to think it has been that long. The community has blossomed and we have ventured into new friendships. The girls are much more at home and excited to be here since they have developed wonderful relationships. And through them - I have also gained dynamic, fun girlfriends. Yay! I feel it has been a turning point for all.
On the fitness front - changes have also evolved. I have given myself permission to relax and not be so regimented. I haven't done any kind of "formal" workout in a couple of weeks. Yes - it is true! We will go for a bike ride to the produce or grocery store or just for fun. Lots of walks with Sashay and the occasional paddle board excursion. No weights - a run here and there but nothing structured. Granted I don't have much motivation. I think I have been in vacation mode. Ha! Alł in all it is healthy to take a break, recharge your body, refocus your goals and get priorities in line. This is such a perfect time for this mindset. Summer is coming to a close. Schedules will be crazy once again. Getting a plan together to get back on track is what I am looking forward to accomplishing. So...I have a new trainer lined up. Not so new - I worked with him in the last and loved his variety. It was rare that we did anything twice and I was with him for over two years. Amazing, huh? It is a group session so I will be working out with a friend I haven't seen in some time. Double whammy! So I am hoping this will get me super motivated for the 4 am alarm to make it on time.
On the running front - haven't quite got that figured out. No races scheduled for the fall. Another shocker - I usually have at three or four on the books. I have a wonderful friend that wants to do something fun at the beach but not sure if there is anything that will work with our schedules. I also plan to take a girls' trip at some point. Hoping to go to FL but I can't find a race during the time frame I want to go. Is it a sign?
